Located in the heart of Rose Garden, San Jose, Central Nursery School (Facility #434417203) has been a trusted part of the community since 1967. With more than five decades of experience nurturing young children, we are proud to carry forward this legacy while reimagining early childhood education for a new generation.
Today, Central Nursery School is operated by Young Inventors Montessori LLC, with a vision that goes beyond traditional childcare. We are building a Children’s Innovation Center where young children are encouraged to explore, create, experiment, ask questions, and discover the world around them. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children develop not only foundational academic skills, but also the curiosity, creativity, confidence, independence, and problem-solving abilities that will serve them throughout life.
Our approach combines Montessori-inspired learning with hands-on discovery, science, creativity, building, exploration, and imaginative play. We believe children learn best when they are given the freedom to investigate their own ideas while receiving thoughtful guidance and encouragement from caring educators. Rather than simply providing care, we strive to make every day an opportunity to think, create, explore, and discover.
As a small, personalized school, we are able to give each child meaningful individual attention. We balance structure with freedom, allowing children to develop at their own pace while building essential skills in communication, collaboration, independence, and social-emotional development. Our goal is to help children become confident learners who are comfortable asking “Why?”, “What if?”, and “Can I try?”
We believe the future belongs to children who can do more than simply memorize information. In a rapidly changing world shaped by technology and artificial intelligence, children will increasingly benefit from distinctly human capabilities such as curiosity, creativity, empathy, collaboration, critical thinking, adaptability, and the confidence to explore new ideas. Our Children’s Innovation Center is designed to nurture these qualities from the earliest years.
At Central Nursery School, children are not simply cared for—they are encouraged to discover, build, imagine, experiment, and grow. Every child is welcomed with warmth and respect and supported as an individual, creating a community where children feel secure enough to explore and confident enough to try something new.
